Sundance
In the Sundance Resort the mood was different, surrounded by the silence of the mountains. The slopes, the snow, the colours of the snowboards and the skis contrasting with the surrounding white, that bright blue sky unconfined by the mountains ... I must have shot 500 photos!

Washington IX
Vietnam Veterans Memorial The Vietnam Memorial is a national war memorial located in Washington DC, that honors members of the U.S. armed forces who had died in service or are unaccounted for during the Vietnam War.
Its construction and related issues have been the source of numerous controversies, some of which have resulted in additions to the memorial complex. The Memorial currently consists of three separate parts: the Three Soldiers statue, the Vietnam Women's Memorial, and the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall, which is the most recognized part of the memorial. The National Air and Space Museum (NASM) of the Smithsonian Institution is a museum in Washington, D.C., United States, and is the most popular of the Smithsonian museums. It maintains the largest collection of aircraft and spacecraft in the world. It is also a vital center for research into the history, science, and technology of aviation and spaceflight, as well as planetary science and terrestrial geology and geophysics. Almost all space and aircraft on display are originals or backup crafts to the originals. (taken from Wikipedia)
My camera chose to focus on the Douglas DC-3 - a fixed-wing, propeller-driven aircraft whose speed and range revolutionized air transport in the 1930s and 1940s. Because of its lasting impact on the airline industry and World War II, it is generally regarded as one of the most significant transport aircraft ever made. (also taken from Wikipedia)

Washington II
The monument is among the world's tallest masonry structures, standing 555 feet (169.29 m) in height and made of marble, granite, and sandstone. It was designed by Robert Mills, a prominent American architect of the 1840s. The actual construction of the monument began in 1848 but was not completed until 1884, almost 30 years after the architect's death. This hiatus in construction was because of a lack of funds and the intervention of the American Civil War. A difference in shading of the marble, visible approximately 150 feet (45 m) up, clearly delineates the initial construction from its resumption in 1876. It officially opened October 9, 1888. picnic!
One of Central Park’s favorite and most well known green fields is the Sheep Meadow.
Its wide-open space and dynamic panoramic view of New York City’s skyline has made it a mecca for the young and young at heart.
Open from mid April through mid October, this vast 15-acre green grass meadow is most currently a social gathering place for sunbathing, frisbee tossing and picnics.
On a crowded weekend afternoon as many as 30,000 visitors may arrive to enjoy the tree ringed expanse.
